Mujhe in Tamilians se Bachao

It Started with my joining in a software company in chennai in December 21st,2007.I was very happy to be in a new city,
new environment and was thanking god for a change after i graduated.Before coming to chennai i never ever got a good feedback about people living here.I ignored those comment thinking that those who are not habitual of living far away from there native some time generate a hatred towards the place where they live .

One thing i want to clear at this point that past 8 yrs i was away from my native(patna then delhi then karnataka)
So, with such a vast experience, i was pretty confident that i can now even survive in a desert.

i joined that company and started afresh in a Metro city(MAHA NAGAR).Here climatic conditions are harsh and these tamilians even more....

They take pride of every little stupid thing saying its tamil. They have a hatred towards people speaking hindi.

One day i and my friend were roaming at night,it was pretty late around 11:45 pm, buts its a normal time for a big metro city like chennai.On the way a police lady stopped us and asked something in tamil, we said that madam we donot know tamil and the answer which she gave, astonished us.
She told us that Without knowing tamil how can you live in tamilnadu ?
We both were looking at eachother like a dumb . I would have easily told that 'HOW WITHOUT KNOWING HINDI YOU LIVE IN INDIA' but police you know how they are....!

Now the question is , when police personnels speaks like this what will be the mentality of a common person here.
